I was looking to get rid of about 20 or so books, and pickup some books from my daughters reading list and was told to go to into the location in Wilkesboro NC. Bad idea. The crabby woman behind the counter did not even greet me when I entered the store. I had to pry her away from her computer screen to even get a mumble out of her. I then asked if it was OK for me to bring in the books I was looking to sell. I was sternly told that she had too much inventory and unless I had "Liquid Gold" I was not welcome to sell my books there. She didn't even bother to ask if I was looking to trade, or if I was looking for any books I would like to purchase. None of that. I was dismissed like a common house fly. My advice, stay as far away from this place as possible. The person behind her precious computer screen could not care less about you.
I love this little book store. I've been a customer for 15 years and I absolutely love the lady who owns this store. If she don't have a book I need she always gets it for me. It's my home away from home.
I visit my kids here and the last two visits, the store is closed with a handwritten note on the door about visiting grandkids or having a grandchild. Hire someone. If you can't have hours as posted on FB web site, don't post regular hours. But if you get to go in, they have a nice selection of used and new books. The people who've run the register when I've been there are friendly. They've offered to help.
I love this place, if I could buy her store from being rich all in the same day I would. The staff is very kind and well mannered. A small one but you'll find no better.
